| The Volunteer Recognition Awards Banquet and 2008 Year in Review |
The Volunteer Recognition Awards Banquet was held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Baytown. There were around 35 in attendance. Dinner was served by Rouyer’s Catering and it was excellent. The Rouyer’s are members of St. Paul’s and Steve recently became an associate member of Thrivent. Mary Page provided the evenings program, she is a member of St. Paul’s and a new associate member of Thrivent, by giving a power point presentation of songs from the different era’s which all joined in singing some of them. It was very interesting and entertaining. Pastor Bonnie Parker, from St. Paul’s, spoke on the churches After School Program and how much it has helped in the local community. And, of course, the awards were given to some very worthy people.
