Enjoy Baseball and Support Krause Center
Join us for a great day of baseball with the Astros and make a difference in the lives of some very special children.  The date is July 28,2007 at 2:55 pm for the Houston Astros vx. The San Diego Padres.  Thrivent Financial is joining with LSSS (Lutheran Social Services of the South) in supporting Lutheran Day at Minute Maid Park.   The Astros are offering discounted tickets for Lutheran Day and you can save as much as 50% off per ticket.   And, a portion of each ticket sold will benefit the children served by Lutheran Social Services.   In addition, Thrivent will supplement the funds raised for this event as a Care in Regions project for the Texas Region.

Last year over 1,000 tickets were sold and $2,000 was raised for the children at Krause Children’s Treatment Center and the Foster Care/Adoption offices in the Houston area.    This year we want to more than double that amount.

Order your seats directly from the Astros, or check with your church to see if a group is ordering.   (The group that raises the most funds above and beyond the ticket prices is awarded the opportunity to throw out the first pitch.    And, the more funds raised means more funds being supplemented by our Care in Regions project)

For complete ticket information, go to the Astros special Lutheran Day website:   Log onto www.astros.com/lutheran   When you order the password is Lutheran.
