The Galveston County Election Time Is Here!!!


The opportunity to vote is a your special privilege.   This year the Galveston County Thrivent Chapter election will be held  on November 9 from 3:30 to 5:30 at Memorial Lutheran, 2021 29th Street, in Texas City.   Refreshments will be served.
A brief chapter board meeting will precede the election meeting.  


Candidates for the positions are listed below.

Vice President: Ruby Riviere
Records Director: Sheri Foltz
Finance Director:  Kathy Olson
Congregation Service Team Director: Pat Schmidt
Communications Director:  None
Assistant Financial Director: Michele Wilson
Community Service Team Director: Claudean Smith
Youth Director: None
Events Director: None


Please note that there three position for which there are no nominees.  Do you know someone who is a Thrivent member and  would be a great candidate for one of the positions.  Do ask them to consider serving.  Just get their permission and present them for nominations.   If you have a nominee that you wish nominate prior to the meeting please contact Ruby Reviere at rubyreviere@earthlink.net.  


All elected chapter leadership positions are considered “open positions” each year, even though there may be some members who have not completed their four consecutive terms.
Please come to the election meeting to vote and make your voice heard.

National Board of Directors Election - You Get to Vote!
 
This year, we are again conducting the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans National Board of Directors election through the mail. If you are a benefit member (generally the insured or annuitant on an insurance or annuity contract issued by Thrivent Financial, or premerger AAL or LB), you are eligible to vote and will receive the mailing. The opportunity to elect your Board of Directors is a benefit of your membership in our fraternal benefit society. Watch your mail in October for election materials. Please participate - your vote matters!
