ADVENT AND NEW BEGINNINGS
As this is written, we are in the middle of our Advent Season as we prepare to celebrate and give thanks for the wonderful gift we have been given from our loving God – Jesus Christ our Savior. May this time of Advent and Joy allow each of us and those we touch a time to share our love for our neighbors that will continue each and everyday of our future.

2005 - Good News
2005 – A Year of Serving

Thank you to each of you that made 2005 a year that reflects our servant hearts as we doubled our volunteer support in our Care Programs with over 22,000 hours recorded . Our ability to generate funds to support congregatonal needs , individual  medical cost support , Community outreach  needs. and  housing needs showed a significant improvement . Join Hands Day was a success with three projects completed..

Thrivent Financial and member support member  in time and money were significant in supporting the help and healing needs from the Southeast Asia Tsunami  and the Hurricane Disaster Response ( Katrina and Rita in particular)  that came close this year.

2006 Goals
Our fundamental goal areas will not change in 2006 . We expect to continue to strengthen our areas of emphasis. A primary shift in our program will be to intentionally provide  opportunities for member socials/training in our congregations hosted by our coordinator teams vs the socials/training events the chapter has hosted in the our first three years as an organization.
Member engagement , Care program(s) superior results, using our individual benefits of membership including GivingPlus and the educational benefits should improve. . Accessing ThriventBuilds capability to serve in our turf will be a strong emphasis.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
As we leave a year of challenges and awareness of our vulnerability in this world, may 2006 be a year of
of growing our faith and faith communities in sharing the love God has shown us through his faithfulness and in the life he gave for us - Jesus Christ .
