WHAT: Thrivent for Lutherans Chapter Leadership Election Meeting and congregational Dinner.

WHEN: Sunday December 5, 2010 5:30 PM

WHERE: First Lutheran Church of Chickasha, 828 Minnesota, Chickasha OK 73018 (turn west @ the Sonic drive inn on the corner of (Hwy 81) 4th st and Minnesota Ave, continue west on Minnesota Ave 5 blocks to 9th & Minnesota where you will find First Lutheran Church.

DETAILS: We will have door prize drawings and FREE Dinner will be served (Jakes Rib) and it is for the whole congregation of all three Chapter churches (Good Shepherd, Duncan-Christ our Savior, Chickasha and First Lutheran Church also in Chickasha) The Dinner is payed for by Thrivent Financial For Lutherans. We will also have Thrivent Rep. Larry Burch to speak on Thrivents behalf and to answer any Questions you may have.

National Board of Directors Election

This year, we are again conducting the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans National Board of Directors election through the mail. If you are a benefit member (generally the insured or annuitant on an insurance or annuity contract issued by Thrivent Financial, or premerger AAL or LB), you are eligible to vote and will receive the mailing. The opportunity to elect your Board of Directors is a benefit of your membership in our fraternal benefit society. Watch your mail in October for election materials.

Chapter leaders with the South Heartland OK Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans do just that! And with chapter leader elections just around the corner, the time to get involved is NOW! Our chapter will have (several) leadership opportunities for next year. The only requirements are: being a Thrivent Financial member; a desire to help people; and five to 15 hours per month volunteer time (depending on the position).
We very much need you on the chapter leadership board—without a full board, our chapter will not qualify for the funding that helps people and our community. If serving on the chapter leadership board does not work for you but you'd like to be involved or volunteer in some capacity, there are many other volunteer opportunities, both short-term and longer-term, available as well.
