Wants YOU to support the 2006 ALSA Huntsville, Alabama Walk To D'Feet ALS@

Schedule: 9:00 a.m. Check in and Registration
Date: Saturday September 30, 2006
Location: Alabama A & M University - Louis Crews Stadium

The Chapter Board has put together a a team of members which will be walking for this event.
You will be able to meet your chapter board members at this event. This is a Care Abounds in communities® event of which most of the board members will be walking. We will also be serving refreshments to members.

Please come out and support the Eric Obermann Team or form a new team in the fight against ALS!

Eric is a Thrivent Financial member with ALS and his family has been instrumental in establishing the ALS association, Alabama Chapter.

The ALS Association Alabama Chapter's walk is part of a national effort in support of local patient services and nationally directed research.

Last year, 450 walkers in Huntsville raised over $100,000.00. This year our goal for our two walks in Biringham and Huntsville is $200,000.00

Join the fight in Alabama. We hope to see you at this event.

First Chapter Picnic and Train Ride

On Saturday August 26, 2006 the Chapter held it's first picnic at the North Alabama Railroad Museum.
We had planned for 140 persons to ride the train after the picnic lunch. The turn out was great. Most the chapter leaders gave up their tickets so that Thrivent Financial members could ride the train. We had 140 persons in attendance. It was nice to see such a great turnout for this event. We ask for your suggestions on what type of events you would like to see in the future.
