Join hands day will take place on May 3, 2008 this year. Be sure to plan an activity in your area and send the required paperwork to the Chapter Board for approval. The Board has funds to support this activity.

The annual Lutheran Night at the Stars baseball game will in May this year.
We will also have the picnic in May or June. Special mailings will go out for these events.

The North Alabama Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans welcomes all new members and extends an invitation for them to come to any chapter board meeting. All are welcome.
| Care Abounds in Communities Projects |
Please bring your Care Abounds in Communities projects to the board meeting before the project.
The request are discussed at the meetings and must be approved before the event. The paperwork required must be filled out in a timely manner before approval. If you have an event coming up any time during the year, bringing the paperwork to the board ahead of time will assure that your project is funded if approved by the board. The Chapter has $17,880.00 for the projects in 2008. Projects have been approved for later this year. Again we approve funding on a first come first served basis for all projects.
If you want to secure funding for your project, come soon to a board meeting, so that your project can be considered for funding.
