Linda Aper, Financial Associate has help
For those of you who don't already know, we have a new Thrivent rep in Logan County. Daniel Kastendick began working for Thrivent as a Financial Associate last fall, and is pleased to be working alongside Linda Aper. Dan moved to Lincoln from Decatur in 1993 and is a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln. Dan has an office in downtown Lincoln at 604 Broadway, Suite 8 (just across the hall from Linda's office). They are sharing the same office phone number, (217)735-2253. Although Dan is currently working with Linda on serving the needs of Linda's existing members, he is also looking to expand our membership. Dan encourages you to contact Linda or him with the names of any individuals or families that could benefit from Thrivent, in meeting their financial goals and objectives.
We welcome to the Thrivent Chapter meetings and look forward to working with him in the future!
Logan County Thrivent Chapter--Join Hands Day
The Logan County Chapter of Thrivent gets $1000 each year for a "Join Hands Day" project. This year we decided to use the money to benefit more people in Logan County. We will be donating food and money to the Lincoln/Logan Food Pantry. We are asking each congregation to collect non-perishable food or supplies at each church on Sunday, May 4, 2008. Any donation is acceptable, such as diapers, paper products, toiletries, canned fruit, canned vegetables, etc. We will also accept monetary donations. Checks can be made payable to Lincoln/Logan Food Pantry. We will be donating the $1000 to the Lincoln/Logan Food Pantry for them to purchase more food and supplies. We are asking a congregational coordinator or representative from each congregation to bring the food collected to the food pantry on Tuesday, May 6 at 8:30 AM. We hope we can have a GREAT showing from the members of Thrivent and each congregation!
We feel this is a great way to benefit many people of need in Logan County!
Mark your calendars for the Logan County Annual Thrivent Chapter meeting! The date is Sunday, November 9. Location to be determined. Watch future newletters for more information! All Lutherans like to eat and there will be a great lunch served.
Thank you to all Thrivent volunteers!
We would like to thank all the past, present, and future Thrivent members that volunteer of their precious time to serve the Logan County Chapter of Thrivent. Thank you to the congregational coordinators at each church and all the chapter leaders on the board. We are all serving the Lord by doing his work through Thrivent and helping others! God's blessings to you all!
