THRIVENT REGIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE AVERY FUND
Dear Thrivent Members:  Morris County Chapter of Thrivent Financial has linked with other chapters to conduct a Care in Regions project. This was possible due to the willingness of a performing group (see below) to do multiple performances in different locations to help raise funds for a very ill child.
We encourage your participation in the fund raiser to meet medical costs for Avery Lubrecht. Attending the concerts with your family and friends would be our first choice!  However, if this is not possible, perhaps you can make a contribution to one of the addresses listed below.

Avery Lubrecht is a four year old girl who had neurosurgery for a medulla blastoma at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. An aggressive tumor infiltrated her brain and spinal column.  She has started a long round of chemotherapy and has to commute between her home and the C.H.O.P. oncology unit.
To meet the portions of the cost of her surgery and chemotherapy not covered by insurance, a fund has been established in her name through the offices of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. The fund will be independently administered to go directly to her medical expenses.  Thrivent will match $1.00 for every $3.00 donated.

CHECKS can be made to: Thrivent Financial  and sent to:
St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 135 Salmon Street Brick, NJ  08723.
                                               Or
Trinity Lutheran Church, 123 E Blackwell Street Dover, N.J. 07801
(All donations will receive a letter of acknowledgement)

ATTEND A CONCERT!
A series of benefit concerts has been planned for The Avery Fund. The group “Before Our Time” will present “Hillbilly Heaven: An Ode to Country Music" - a tribute to country music and its artists. Performers include 30 singers, dancers, musicians and roadies made up of students, members of the community and of professionals from the Sussex County Community College area and is sponsored by the Performing Arts Students from the college, where Adjunct Professor Dr. Peter Lubrecht teaches.
