Chapter Leader Election Invitation
Morris County NJ Chapter
 

Please vote for next year's chapter leadership board. As a membership organization, Thrivent
Financial for Lutherans is unique in the financial services world in many ways. Our members choose
who will represent them on the national board of directors governing the organization as well as choose
their local chapter leadership board.
The election process is a very important way for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to demonstrate two
required elements of a fraternal benefit society:


1. An active, viable chapter system that involves many members and
2. A representative form of government.
Without this election process, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans would not qualify as a tax-exempt
fraternal benefit society and would not be able to provide the benefits to needy individuals,
congregations and communities that it does today.


The elections will take place in the Lutheran Churches in Morris County. Your Thrivent Congregational
Coordinator will choose one of the following dates: November 8, 15 or 22; choosing the
date that best suits your Church. The date will be announced in your Church bulletin, and your
coordinator will be supplied with blank election ballots for Thrivent members to complete on the day.
If you are not a member of one the Churches, and would like to vote, please call David Bowles at 908-
489-4063 for details on your nearest voting location..

National Board of Directors Election - You Get to Vote!
 
This year, we are again conducting the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans National Board of Directors election through the mail. If you are a benefit member (generally the insured or annuitant on an insurance or annuity contract issued by Thrivent Financial, or premerger AAL or LB), you are eligible to vote and will receive the mailing. The opportunity to elect your Board of Directors is a benefit of your membership in our fraternal benefit society. Watch your mail in October for election materials. Please participate - your vote matters!
