Stark County Chapter had approximately $27,000, to give away this year. To date we have approved projects totaling approximately $25,000. Requests for funding are still being accepted. Most Congregations have held their fund raising events and have received their $1300. If you need help in completing your projects, please contact your Congregational Service Team Director, Dick Spall 330-499-7369.
Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Stark and Carroll Counties has completed four houses and the fifth house is nearing completion. The project has been blessed with nice weather on most Saturdays, lots of volunteer workers, outstanding snacks and lunches and great cooperation from our Lutheran Churches. We are still in need of a few thousand dollars from Lutheran Churches to fulfill our ten-percent obligation.
All volunteers that worked on the Habitat Houses are encouraged to attend this appreciation dinner.
