| WHAT DOES A THRIVENT CHAPTER BOARD DO ? |
A Chapter Leadership Board's primary responsibility is to help Thrivent give away money where it will do the most good. The Board receives Requests for Funding under the " CARE ABOUNDS IN COMMUNITIES " program and decides which Requests to fund and how much to give.

The Board also provides encouragement and assistance to Congregational Coordinators as they plan and conduct fund raisers to enable their congregation to receive supplemental funds under "CARE IN CONGREGATIONS"
The Board has oversight responsibilities for "THRIVENT BUILDS with HABITAT FOR HUMANITY" by the appointment of Chapter Builds Specialists.
The Board also receives money to operate the Chapter
