Stark County Chapter
 
The election of Officers and Leadership Board Members of the Stark County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 336 West Market St. in Canal Fulton.


Voting will take place at the end of the Volunteer Recognition and Appreciation Luncheon.


The Luncheon will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 11th, 2009.


The main purpose of this event, which is being paid for by Thrivent Chapter Operating Funds, is to recognize and honor all the Members who volunteered their Time, Talent, and Treasure to " Do the Most Good", with the funds provided by Thrivent Financial in our Congregations and Community, by planning and conducting fund raisers, service activities, and working on Habitat Houses.


Congregational Coordinators are welcome to bring as their guests, their spouses, their Pastors and their spouses, members of your service teams that helped plan and conduct your fund raisers. You may also invite several of your fellow Lutherans who were outstanding volunteers to help you qualify to receive the Thrivent Financial funds
allocated to your Congregation.


We would also like to recognize all the community service teams that selected a worthy cause, planned a fund raiser, requested funds from your Stark County Chapter under the "Care Abounds in Communities" program, then conducted the activity and received funds.


Thrivent Members who worked on Habitat Houses are welcome to bring their spouses and invite fellow Lutherans and people from the Thursday Crews that they have worked with.


National Board of Directors Election - You Get to Vote!
 
This year, we are again conducting the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans National Board of Directors election through the mail. If you are a benefit member (generally the insured or annuitant on an insurance or annuity contract issued by Thrivent Financial, or premerger AAL or LB), you are eligible to vote and will receive the mailing. The opportunity to elect your Board of Directors is a benefit of your membership in our fraternal benefit society. Watch your mail in October for election materials. Please participate - your vote matters!

Nearly all Leadership Board Positions will need new candidates to run for election due to term limits and some persons choosing to not run for next year. To volunteer for a Board Position or nominate someone
