Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity for the Lebron Family

The Hartford County Chapter churches have been busy every Saturday helping out with the Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity at the Lebron Family home in Hartford.
Nick and Melitza Lebron and their three children are thrilled to be involved in the Habitat Program.  They have strong roots in the city and have been involved in many community organizations from coaching in the Saturday Hoopsters basketball program, umpiring baseball in the South End and serving on the Board of Directors for the Prudence Crandell Domestic Violence Services.  They are very excited to be building in Hartford and look forward to being homeowners in the city they love!

Their son Nick Jr. lives with Asperger's syndrome.  He just finished his freshman year and received a science award.  Nick Jr. loves running on his school's cross country team.  Daughter Savannah also just finished her freshman year and has an infectious smile.  Daughter Jennika will be a junior next year.  She is on the honor roll and is a math wiz.  Jennika is the IT person in the family.

This family feels that the Habitat for Humanity home ownership program is an investment in themselves and their family.  They are very grateful, look forward to staying involved and partnering with other families.

Has your church volunteered to help with the build?

Contact Dale Soares 860.643.1694 or dale.soares@yahoo.com  Dale has offered to be the contact while Tracy Carlson is out on medical leave this summer.

Thrivent Choice: An Easy Way to Support What Matters to You!
The Thrivent Choice program offers two ways members can recommend where to direct a portion of Thrivent Financial's charitable outreach funds.

1. Voting Events: All members (age 16 and older) can vote to help direct a portion of Thrivent Financial's charitable funds among a short list of national charities one to two times per year.

2. Choice Dollars: Eligible benefit members can help direct funds all year long to thousands of Lutheran nonprofit organizations like schools, camps, colleges – or even to their Lutheran congregations. Benefit members age 16 or older are eligible to participate in Choice Dollars if they:

Hold a Thrivent Financial volunteer leadership position; or
Have $800 or more in annual premiums of qualifying insurance products; or
Have $20,000 or more in contract value of qualifying products.
Member eligibility under current eligibility requirements is determined monthly, and these eligibility requirements are re-evaluated on an annual basis.
Participation is simple and easy, without any complicated forms to complete. You'll be able to vote or direct Choice Dollars in a way that's convenient for you. Visit www.thrivent.com/thriventchoice or call 800-THRIVENT (800-847-4836) and say “Thrivent Choice” for more information.
