Parents, Kids and Money Matters - MARCH 24
Please plan on joining the board for a FREE family friendly workshop for parents and children ages 6-10.  Parents will gain a better understanding of how to reflect on the values they want their children to learn, and practical tools to make teaching and learning about money fun.  Kids will discover three basic money choices: share, save and spend, and begin to understand that money can be used to help others.

Workshop will be held at the Gemini Center in Fairview Park (in the Maple Room) 1-2pm.  Following the workshop and refreshments, families are invited to stay and enjoy the fantastic pool area or stay to play games together until 5:00.

Reservations can be made by contacting Christine Hubeler at 216-338-5194 or by email at christinehubeler@gmail.com.

Lakeview Cemetery Tour in April!
We are excited to invite you to an afternoon enjoying Cleveland's history and the spring blooms at the Lakeview Cemetery!  We will be meeting at Lutheran West High School's parking lot on April 21 at 12:30 pm to board Lolly the Trolley!  Lolly will take us to the Cemetery where a tour guide will join us to share their knowledge.  There will be 2 opportunities to disembark and enjoy a bit of the cemetery by foot before re-boarding Lolly for the ride back to West.

There are a limited number of seats available so reservations are necessary.  Tickets are $10 each.  Contact Christine Hubeler at 216-338-5194 or by email at christinehubeler@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you at this special event!

Care Abounds in Communities is Available

Chapters of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans are organized geographically and bring together members to help others and help their community. Through the Care Abounds in Communities® program, Thrivent Financial provides funding to members like you who form community service teams to conduct fundraising activities and/or hands-on service activities to help individuals, families and qualified not-for-profit organizations.

So, if you are handy with a hammer, love landscaping, notice that sewing or knitting makes you smile, or you have another talent to share with others, why not partner with other Thrivent Financial members to make an impact in your community?

For example, a wheelchair ramp is so much more than wood and nails. For a wheelchair user, a ramp represents accessibility to life outside the house — to community, friends and family — and even to living independently.

Building a wheelchair ramp is only one example of the impact a little teamwork can have on someone's life. Can you think of other needs in your community and other ways you might be able to make an impact? Call your chapter leadership board for more information.

Thrivent Choice: An easy way to help support what matters to you
The Thrivent Choice program offers two ways members can recommend where to direct a portion of Thrivent Financial's charitable outreach funds.

1. Voting Events: All members (age 16 and older) can vote to help direct a portion of Thrivent Financial's charitable funds among a short list of national charities one to two times per year.

2. Choice Dollars: Eligible benefit members can help direct funds all year long to thousands of Lutheran nonprofit organizations like schools, camps, colleges – or even to their Lutheran congregations. Benefit members age 16 or older are eligible to participate in Choice Dollars if they:

Hold a Thrivent Financial volunteer leadership position; or
Have $800 or more in annual premiums of qualifying insurance products; or
Have $20,000 or more in contract value of qualifying products.
Member eligibility under current eligibility requirements is determined monthly, and these eligibility requirements are re-evaluated on an annual basis.
Participation is simple and easy, without any complicated forms to complete. You'll be able to vote or direct Choice Dollars in a way that's convenient for you. Visit www.thrivent.com/thriventchoice or call 800-THRIVENT (800-847-4836) and say “Thrivent Choice” for more information.

Thrivent Choice, Thrivent Choice Voting, Thrivent Choice Dollars and Choice Dollars are intellectual property of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.  Directing Thrivent Choice Dollars and participating in Voting Events are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Thrivent Choice program and if you direct any Thrivent Choice Dollars or participate in any Voting Events this means that you agree to the Terms and Conditions.
