| South Pinellas County Chapter, Spring, 2007 |
21st Annual Taste of Pinellas June 1 - 3 Thrivent Financial will be a title sponsor of the 21st Annual All Children’s Hospital Taste of Pinellas and the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon. The Taste of Pinellas is a wonderful weekend event of fun, food and nightly concerts. Taste the specialties of your favorite restaurants. As always, proceeds benefit the All Children’s Telethon and will help fund the construction of a brand new All Children’s Hospital. Admission is free to the public. Here's where we need your help - we are looking for 300 volunteers (16 or older) to sell and collect food tickets and also sell merchandise (shirts, hats etc.) We are also in need of volunteers to answer phones during the telethon, which will be televised on NBC affiliates. The Taste of Pinellas will be held along the scenic waterfront Vinoy Park, downtown St. Petersburg.
Go to our chapter Website or LutheransOnline.com/rfo190 to register to volunteer for dates and times. OR For more information call 1-866-733-3990
There will be a Volunteer Organizational Meeting at 12:00 pm, Sunday, April 15, at Hope Lutheran Church, 1801 62nd Ave, N, St. Petersburg.

Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity helps individuals achieve greater economic independence through the building of decent, simple, affordable homes. Building these homes is more than just boards and blocks. It's sweat and smiles, borne of hard work and expressions of faith. There are many ways you can help … and they're not all swinging hammers. Unfortunately, South Pinellas County Chapter did not get a Thrivent Builds house to build this year, but our northern chapter did. North Pinellas County Chapter has invited us to participate in their Thrivent Builds house. Keep checking our Website for more information about the build.
