An invitation from the Anoka County Chapter of Thrivent
The following educational workshop is being presented by Thrivent Financial, and hosted by Kevin Schwartz, Financial Consultant.
We will discuss the ins and outs of why it is important to prearrange your funeral,
how pre-paying for a funeral is different than having life insurance, and how it relates
to estate planning overall. Spots are limited, so registration is
required. Coffee and snacks will be provided.

| Chapter Earns Chapter of Excellence Award for 2011 |
The Anoka County Chapter of Thrivent Financial earned The Chapter of Excellence for 2011 Award for its outstanding work in addressing local community and was honored with an
additional $250 which has been to donated to the food shelves in Anoka County. This chapter also held a fundraiser movie event, which raised money and collected food donations that was also donated to the local food shelves in Anoka County.
Additionally, the chapter made 67 grants totaling $70,275 to Anoka County area individuals and non-profit groups to be used for humanitarian or community development purposes,
including Free2B, Lee Carlson Center, and Family Promise.
The Anoka Chapter members held more than 15 events in the area to bring people together for fun, education and helping others. For example, the chapter gave supplemental funds to over 39 benefits, hosted a trip the a Twins’ game, held financial workshops, hosted a night at the theatre, and much more.

| Thrivent Builds together with Habitat for Humanities |
| Since 2005, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members have volunteered alongside more than 2,000 families, working to help them realize the American dream of homeownership. Pictured are volunteers from Grace Lutheran Church in Andover who participated at the build site in Minneapolis. Thrivent Anoka Chapter provided volunteers for a week at the Minneapolis site.
