Ozaukee County Chapter, Congregational Coordinator Edition
REPORT ACTIVITIES AND EXPENSES BY DECEMBER 15th
Every chapter service team that receives funds through a Thrivent Financial Care program must submit a 'Receipts, Funds Raised and Expenses' Report to the chapter leadership board to document all expenses. Immediately upon completion of a hands-on service activity, the 'Receipts, Funds Raised and Expenses' Report and all receipts or copies of receipts should be placed in a mailing envelope and sent to Katherine Spitler, our chapter's Congregational Service Team Director.
For fundraisers, make sure that all of the necessary information has been entered under the Congregational Leaders section at www.thrivent.com. Do NOT send Care in Congregations® fund-raising dollars to Katherine—these funds should be forwarded directly to the beneficiary congregation.
For more information on the 'Receipts, Funds Raised and Expenses' Report and how to submit them, please refer to CHIP, the online chapter resource guide, located at www.thrivent.com/members/chip and search on "submitting receipts."
Envelopes can be mailed to Katherine at 627 N Montgomery St, Port Washington, WI 53074 and questions can be directed to her at 414-378-8384.
RECRUITING AND UPDATING CONGREGATIONAL COORDINATORS
Some of our congregations have the need to replace a congregational coordinator due to a move or change in time commitments, etc. and some of our congregations are still not at three coordinators. Now would be a great time of the year to approach other Thrivent Financial members in your congregation since many of them just participated in our election process with you. Please notify Katherine Spitler at 414-378-8384 or katiebird1@gmail.com of any changes or updates in your list of congregational coordinators. Katherine is also available to call any interested members of your congregation to further explain the position. We have included here a template that you could adjust and use within your congregation to recruit other volunteers:
WANTED: A person with a caring heart who is willing to help our congregation.
CONGREGATIONAL COORDINATOR position. Through the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Care in Congregations® program, our church has money available for Thrivent Financial members to conduct activities to benefit our church and/or its ministry to the community. Three congregational coordinators are required to help administer the program and initiate funding requests for the activities. If you are interested in serving as a congregational coordinator in our church, contact (congregational leader).
THANK YOU FOR COORDINATING THE ELECTIONS
Please accept our thanks to those congregations and those congregational coordinators who helped our election process by holding an election event at their church. Elections are a vital component in our fraternal benefit system and we would not be successful without you! Please remember to get your election materials back to Terry Ganyo by November 27th. He can be reached at 262-224-7480.
