Thank you to all of the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members who took the time in October and November to vote in the local chapter elections through their churches.
The 2008 Chapter Leadership Board is composed of six returning leaders and two new leaders. This balance of experience and new energy will serve our chapter well in the following year. We are truly blessed as a chapter and a county to have volunteers willing to step forward to serve and fill our positions. The 2008 Ozaukee County Chapter Leadership Board would like to offer its gratitude to the following individuals who volunteered their time in 2007.
MICHELLE BUSS, President - Michelle has served her alotted four years as a leader on the Board, both as Communications director and President. Michelle will continue to volunteer for Thrivent by serving as the Past President advisory member.
KATHERINE SPITLER, Congregational Service Team Director - Katherine has served three years on the County Leadership Board in the position as the Congregational Service Team Director.
| FUNDING PROVIDED THROUGH CARE ABOUNDS IN COMMUNITIES |
Chapters of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans are organized geographically and bring together members to help others and help their community. Through the Care Abounds in Communities® program, Thrivent Financial provides funding to members like you who form community service teams to conduct fund-raising activities and/or hands-on service activities to help individuals, families and qualified not-for-profit organizations.
In 2007, hundreds of volunteers came together to provide services to 43 projects in Ozaukee County and surrounding areas. Thrivent awarded $47,140 in supplemental funds right here in Ozaukee County! THANK YOU to those who participated last year. For 2008, $47,075 is available to be used for Hands-On Service projects and Fundraisers. For those of you who are interested this year, contact any of your chapter leaders as listed above to find out how your activity can be supported by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Have you ever thought about the difference you can help make in your community? Serving as a member of the Thrivent Leadership Board here in Ozaukee County benefits so many people, including you as a board member! The Leadership Board is made up of Thrivent members from various congregations in Ozaukee County. Those who have been involved as board members mention how great it is to get to know new people, to be involved in how Thrivent funds support great projects, and educating those who are doing the great things can maximize their impact.
Are you interested yet? If so, the Ozaukee Chapter is looking for someone who would be willing to serve as our Communicty Service Team Director.
