Are you looking for the opportunity to help build a home for someone in need? The Ozaukee County Chapter has a home that needs to be built! With this year's assignment at 2935 North 5th Street, Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers to help finish the house. To schedule a Saturday to work on the house, please contact Chris Stelzer, chris.stelzer@thrivent.com or (262) 695-3080 ext: 228. Here are a few guidelines: 1. A main contact for the group is needed. 2. Contact Chris at least 10 days out from the Saturday your group desires to work. 3. Be understanding. As the build continues, required city inspections and approvals may prevent continuation of scheduled work. Thrivent and Habitat will do their best to enable you to work on the Ozaukee Chapter home. However, you may be asked to work on another Habitat home. Here is a list of tentative Saturdays. Again, please contact Chris to schedule your group. Some of our Lutheran congregations in Ozaukee County are forming a partnership which is encouraged and supported by our Thrivent Ozaukee County Chapter. Through the partnership one dwelling of a duplex will be constructed on Park Street in Port Washington. Watch for more details in your congregation and future mailings.
