While waiting their turn to visit the buffet line, members were treated to delightful music and song by Sandi Webb. After the meal, several of the County Board members spoke and introduced the other Board members as well as Jim White of the Jefferson County Board of Habitat for Humanity. Participants completed their election ballots, with nine candidates on the ballot and Rhonda Vanlou as a write-in candidate for Events Director. Many door prizes were given away.

There was some confusion about this event, as there usually is the first time. An elections event newsletter similar to this newsletter was sent out with all of the details outlined on the front and back pages. A follow-up reminder postcard was sent just prior to the deadline for signing up.
