Your 2009 Thrivent Greater Salt Lake Chapter Leadership Board

Congratulations to our 2009 Greater Salt Lake Chapter Leadership Board!

Our Greater Salt Lake Chapter consists of a Chapter Leadership Board made up of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members elected by members in the chapter. The board provides strategic direction, leadership planning, and administration to support members and others who volunteer through one of Thrivent Financial's chapter Care programs (Care Abounds in Communities®, Care in Congregations® and Care in Regions®) or other chapter activities.

Each chapter leadership board is comprised of a minimum five required elected positions. In addition, five optional elected positions and a number of appointed advisory positions are available. All elected leadership board members have equal voting rights—the advisors do not vote in chapter leadership board matters.

The chapter leadership board is responsible for allocating dollars to community service teams through the Care Abounds in Communities® program. Your chapter leadership board for 2009 are as follows:

Greater SLC Thrivent Financial Board Needs You!

Imagine yourself as part of a group of caring people with the opportunity to decide how best to use funding that benefits people in need and your community. Imagine being able to increase the impact that money has through community involvement, awareness, additional funds raised, and the caring work of many hands. And imagine being able to help Thrivent Financial members come together for charitable, educational and social purposes.

Chapter leaders with the Greater Salt Lake Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans do just that! Our chapter has three leadership positions that have not been filled for 2009. The only requirements are: being a Thrivent Financial member; a desire to help people; and a few hours per month volunteer time. We meet on the second Saturday of each month for 2 hours. Lutherfest Picnic Murray Park August 15, 2009

Please join us for our annual Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Lutherfest Picnic on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Pavilion #2 at Murray City Park, 5300 S Parkside Dr (495 E). The festivities will kick off at 11:00 AM and will end around 3:00 PM. There will be food, refreshments, and games for all ages. Please come and enjoy an afternoon with other Lutherans and meet your Greater Salt Lake Chapter Leadership Board and Financial Associate Advisors.
