| Thrivent Youth Volunteer involvement |
A Northern UT Chapter of Thrivent Community Service Team has joined to assist BSA Venture Crew 577 on a membership drive. They are assisting the Troop to prepare and mail information to youth groups at various churchs with information brochures about joining the Venture Crew and participate in future scouting events through Northern Utah. The service team will compile the information and submit it to a printer. This is a wonderful way to assist youth organizations and to get the youth of our communities involved in worthwhile projects. Congratulations to this team.
| Logan Youth Group Distributes Christmas Gift Baskets |
Trinity Lutheran Lutheran Church has organized a Northern UT Chapter Community Service Team to aid a youth group from this Church to purchase, assemble and distribute Christmas Gift Baskets. They will be distributed to the elderly in the community nursing homes and Children Care Centers. Christmas Carols will be sung. Sounds like an interesting and fun project. The Northern UT Chapter of Thrivent Financial will be donating $300 for the purchase of materials for this event. There are many opportunities to serve your community and your Northern UT Chapter of Thrivent is more than happy to assist in organizing and financing your event.
| Care In Congregations® funds |
Have you considered being a Congregational Coordinator for your church? Every year Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has funds for each Lutheran Congregation in Northern Utah to use for your Church. This is in addition to the funds for the Community projects. The congregations can hold fundraisers or have hands on service activities in their own churchs and have access to at least $1300 for supplementing funds raised or for materials to use on hands on service projects. The Congregational Coordinators can assist in these very valuable projects for your congregations. As a Congregational Coordinator you would be instrumental in serving your church in a very meaningful way. If you are interested contact your Northern UT Chapter Leadership board.

This is the final newsletter for 2006. We on the Northern UT Chapter Leadership Board have enjoyed this opportunity to serve our churchs, our communities and the members of Thrivent Financial.
