Care in Congregations® funds
Each year THRIVENT allocates money for use in each of our congregations for projects that benefit the Church body. This can be for the use of almost any project that is agreed to within the Church. If you see a need in your congregation that could be helped through this funding, please contact a Thrivent Financial congregational coordinator in your congregation. If you don't know who your three congregational coordinators are, please contact a member of our chapter leadership board, and he/she will help you get in touch with a coordinator.
Since the money is only available during the calendar year, any unused money is retained by THRIVENT at year end and is no longer available for use by your congregation.
Care Abounds In Communities® funds
THRIVENT funds are also available for projects in the Community. In order to receive funding you must:
1) Identify a Lutheran or non-Lutheran non-profit organization, need outside of the Church, or individual in need of help, preferably in northern Utah.
2) Identify at least six different THRIVENT members, from different households, who are willing to serve as a Community Service Team and participate in planning and conducting the project.
3) A maximum of $1,600 cash can be allocated for each project or activity, at the discretion of the Northern UT Chapter Leadership Board.
4) Volunteer hours contributed in conducting the project or activity are collected and reported to THRIVENT in order to receive funding support.
Care Abounds In Communities® money allocated by THRIVENT is only available during the calendar year. Unused money is withdrawn at year end.
