This year the chapter board has had requests for funds from the Boy Scouts at Ascension Lutheran in Ogden for the annual Super Bowl Sub sale. The money will be used for camping equipment. The LWML at St. Paul requested supplemental funds for their rummage sale. The funds will be used for the Utah Food Bank and a mission trip for the youth as an outreach. Our Savior's Quilters requested funds for their quilt day. The funds will be used to purchase thread, scissors and batting for the quilts. The quilts will be distributed to the Christmas Box House, St. Anne's shelter, YCC and those in immediate need. Quilts have been requested by the Dialysis Center in Ogden. Some of the quilts previously were given to the tornado victims in Kansas. Lutheran World Relief were given quilts also. Military Mail Ministry was given $500. Grace Race from Ascension Lutheran will also receive funds, Brian Matzi is the director of the Grace Race, information can be obtained on the church website http://ascensionlutheranogden.org/. Some requests for funds had to be returned for minor changes and resubmitted.
