Faith Day at the Rockies
On Sunday, August 23, was Faith Day at the Colorado Rockies. They battled successfully against the San Francisco Giants with a post game concert by Mercy Me. The Rockies won by a score of 4-2. The Twin Peaks Chapter distributed our 150 tickets for a reduced price for our Thrivent members. All in attendance had a great time.

Financial Seminar for Baby Boomers- Focus on Retirement

Twin Peaks Chapter will be hosting a ½ day seminar at Eternal Savior Lutheran Church focusing on baby boomers and their retirement preparedness. The workshop plans to address all aspects of the issues facing baby boomers headed for retirement. Anyone facing, considering or in retirement is invited and welcome to participate in this workshop.
We have invited Mark Holdt and Ron Lutes, both retirement specialists to share their insight with us regarding the challenges and planning for retirement.
Transforming Your Future with More Than Money Matters

The Twin Peaks Chapter will host a seminar for high school juniors and seniors, post high school, college, and/or their parents to discuss and encourage the best plan for use of their financial resources. Come to Risen Savior to interact with your peers, share information and enjoy a comedy group. Come and bring your friends. Snacks and lunch and gifts will be available. Registration of $5 begins at 9:30am.
Annual Election and Bowling Event
Sunday, November 15th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Come for fun, pizza, bowling and to vote for the leadership board for the Twin Peaks Chapter. Join us at the Coal Creek Bowling Center in Lafayette. More information to follow.

| Thrivent Builds Update - Longmont Ground Breaking |
The dedication of the Soto House (the 2009 Thrivent Builds Habitat for Humanity home) took place on Sunday, August 23rd at 4:00 PM.
We are in process in applying for our 6th Habitat home for 2010. Thanks to all the Chapter churches and tradesmen that made this 2009 home such a huge success.

Thrivent Twin Peaks Chapter meets monthly on the 4th Thursday at 6:30 pm at Eternal Savior Lutheran Church, 2688 North Park Drive in Lafayette, CO. All congregation coordinators and Thrivent members are welcome.

The website also has the forms for requesting and reporting fund raising activities. Funding requests for consideration must be received 30 days prior to an event or project.
