JANUARY 2005 MEETING

Reviewed & approved minutes from December meeting
Review & approve December/2004 financial report – Linda Thompson

New Business

  • Review request/report process
    • We agreed to consider 50 cents on the dollar for new funding requests up to $1600 per request.
  • $23,830 program (fraternal matching dollars) available in 2005
  • Approved a 50 cents per dollar match up to $1600 for the February 19 Chili Cook-off fund raiser request from the Solid Education Foundation to provide educational assistance to WELS schools.
  • Discussed the matching funds request for the "God's Superheroes" concert being held May 15, 2005 at Eternal Savior in Lafayette. Discussion around where the "community" benefit was as funds are to benefit the Lutheran Chorale. Ed will contact the service team leader about how they might change the request to better serve the community. Request tabled unti the February 10 meeting.
  • Chapter name officially changed to Twin Peaks on January 1, 2005
  • Lutheransonline web page – Twin Peaks chapter – there is a monthly calendar on this page
  • Audit committee is Nancy Altpeter, Michele Rehme and LeRoy Height – they will do the audit on Feb. 3rd at 7PM at Linda Thompsons house
  • Board members
    • Reviewed Officer Roles
  • Calendar
    • New Officer Welcome dinner will be held at Via Toscana on January 15th at 6PM
    • Jan 29 Training Holy Cross Lutheran in Wheat Ridge 9am-1pm/Ed will drive the OAFC van
    • 2nd Thursday 6:30pm meeting time is good
  • Events ideas – Becky
    • 2nd annual Pig Roast in July the 30th if possible
    • Coordinators, Training – Arlene will talk with LCS Roberta about dates

Old Business

  • Linda reports that all 2004 requests have been completed and are input online
  • An amount of $1,681.87 operating funds carried over from 2004 to 2005
