February 2005 MEETING  
Meeting date:  6:30pm 2/10/2005
Location: Eternal Savior Lutheran Church – Lafayette, CO
Meeting attendees: Ed Allen, Becky Nichols, Linda Thompson, Terri Miller,
Arlene Skaggs, Mark Moore, Youth Director Kevin Hischke excused.
   
Prayer/devotion – Mark Moore based on 1 Peter 4:10 (Stewardship)
Record attendance and call to order
Admit new chapter members since last meeting (12/09/04 – 02-09-05) – moved and seconded that new chapter members be approved.
Reviewed & approved minutes from January meeting
Reviewed & approved January/2005 (1/13 – 2/10/05) financial report – emailed earlier

New Business
  • Events, Picnic – Becky – 2nd Annual Pig Roast will take place on July 30th
  • $3000 deposit made to Twin Peaks account? activity ID 2592077=Beautiful Savior
  • Coordinators, Training – Arlene
    • April 2nd – Roberta Wentworth will conduct, from 9am – 11:30am, with a lunch and coffee break. Becky Nichols will be in charge of the food.
    • Arlene will contact Eternal Savior about holding the training meeting there
    • Linda will order cups and napkins for this event
    • Our goal is to have representation from each church, when a church is represented the Chapter will donate to the Pastors fund $200.00 to be used by each church.
    • Arlene will ask Roberta and Bruce Hoelter to do an opening devotion perhaps playing their guitars
    • Arlene will get letterhead to invite each coordinator and include an RSVP.
  •  Chapter Newsletter – ideas to include – submitting this month
    • Include the idea about member benefits and donating them to your church
  • $400 Hands-on request - 9HealthFair Request Requested $200.00 up front – the event is happening April 21 & 22 at Bethlehem LC in Longmont. Approved.
  • $1600 fund raiser request Annual Benefit Auction – Silent Auction - Colorado Lutheran HS Association. Approved 50cents on the dollar up to $1600.00
  • $ fund raiser request – Auction Beautiful Savior Lutheran School. Approved 50 cents on the dollar up to $1600.00
  • Seed money for Care in Congregations Eternal Savior Youth activity. Approved will discuss at next meeting/ at the next meeting there will be a report on actual expenses.
  • Adding 2nd person on Bank account – approved to add Ed Allen

Old Business

  • Audit Report is complete
  • Open activities
    • Chile Cook-Off for WELS Schools
    • Tabled activities – $1000 fund raiser request God’s SuperHeroes - Lutheran Chorale. Approved for 50 cents on the dollar up to $1000
    • Binders for new officers-Terri will check into this
    • Training report: new forms, check on line at Lutheransonline.com

Next meeting
6pm Thursday March 10 – Risen Savior Broomfield
Focus on Join Hands Day – Kevin Hischke – there is $1000 to be spent on this activity.
