November 2005 MEETING  
Meeting date:  6:30pm 11/10/2005
Location: Risen Savior Lutheran Church – Broomfield, CO

Meeting was opened with a devotion by Ed Allen, 1 Peter 3:15, Always be prepared to give an answer.
Meeting was called to order by Ed Allen
  • New Chapter members were admitted since last meeting 10/12/05 -11/9/2005.
  • Minutes [October] were reviewed and approved with the following corrections. Jim Heins name was misspelled and change from Beth Nichols to Becky Nichols. These changes have been completed.
  • Financial report was reviewed and approved.
  • Cross of Christ still only has 2 coordinators, but did receive their congregational funds.

NEW BUSINESS

  • Request from Divine Savior to help with expenses for one of their members to fix the home for a wheelchair. It was approved that we would pay $200 of the expenses in 2005 and invite them to submit another request in 2006. We ask for $200 of receipts and a check will be sent from Operating funds. Arlene Skaggs will contact Divine Savior.
  • $150- Request from Rosemary Leerssen for money collected during the Advent Soup Suppers for a college class. Approved to match up to $200 1/1 Operating Funds 11/30-12/14
  • $150 - Request from Marilee Nolte for money collected during the Advent Soup Suppers for a college class. Approved to match up to $200 1/1 Operating Funds. Linda Thompson will contact Marilee about our approval. 11/30-12/14
  • $400- Between the Lines Book Club 12/1/05 Approved for full amount 1/1

OLD BUSINESS

  • $600 1/1 Entertainment Books fund raiser (8/25-11/29) OAFC
  • $200 (LSA) Urban Servan Corp Open House 11/6/05
  • $1000 Holiday Creek Walk 12/17 Longmont POlice Community Activity

  • Thrivent Builds - St. Vrain Habitat for Humanity Grant submitted. Waiting for 12/20/05 approval.

  • Gift Certificates for The Wildflower Cafe and Efrin's have been purchased for the Broomfield Election.

Next meeting Thursday, December 8, Eternal Savior 6:30 pm
Staff dinner will be January 22, 2006, 5:30 pm at Wildflower Cafe in Broomfield, Becky will check on reservations.
Meeting was closed with the Lord's Prayer.
