October 2005 MEETING  
Meeting date:  6:00pm 10/13/2005
Location: Risen Savior Lutheran Church – Broomfield, CO
Meeting attendees: Ed Allen, Linda Thompson, Mark Moore, Pat Goecke, Becky Nichols, Guests, Tom Dunn, Jim Heins
   
Ed Allen opened with the following devotion based on Matthew 7:24 Wise man build his house on a rock, Foolish man built his house on sand.
Meeting was called to order by Ed Allen
  • New Chapter Members from 9/8/05 - 10/12/05 were admitted to the Twin Peaks Chapter
  • Minutes from the September meeting were review and approved with following changes, location needs to be changed to Eternal Savior from Risen Savior and add Linda Thompson as attending.
  • Financial report was reviewed and approved.

Cross of Christ remains as only church lacking all 3 coordinators

NEW BUSINESS

  • Urban Servant Corp, Open House 11/6/2005 - approved for $200 from operation funds, will be locally supported activity
  • Thrivent Builds Challenge - Guest Tom Dunn from St. Vrain Habitat for Humanity presented our chapter with a challenge We need to raise $14,802 toward the building of a home in Longmont. Jim Hines has volunteered to be our chapter coordinator. We need to also find Congregation champions to provide information for each congregation in our Chapter.
    Promotional ideas. Pig Roast, Election, Time and Talent Sheets
    It was approved to submit our application to help with The St Vrain Habitat for Humanity.

2006 Board elections

  • Elections will be held 11/13, Longmont History Museum. Applebees, Broomfield 11/20.
    Linda Thompson will be getting gift certificates for area restaurants.
  • List of Candidates Ballot is not complete.

Next meeting Thursday, November 10 at 6:30 pm at Eternal Savior Lutheran Church
