December 2005 MEETING  
Meeting date:  6:30pm 12/08/2005
Location: Eternal Savior Lutheran Church - Broomfield, CO
Meeting attendees: Mark Moore, Linda Thompson, Ed Allen, Becky Nichols, Pat Goecke, Arlene Skaggs
   
Mark opened meeting with a Devotion from Isaiah 9, Inviting Christ into Christmas.
Meeting was called to order by Ed Allen,
  • New Chapter members were admitted (11/10 - 12/07/05)
  • Minutes of November minutes were approved without correction.
  • Financial Report was approved as submitted.
  • Arlene reported on coordinators for Cross of Christ, they will receive congregational funds even though they only have 2 coordinators. She is also working with those congregations who have not used their funds or have not completed the activities on line.

NEW BUSINESS

  • It was unanimously approved to give the Holiday Creek walk the remaining $46 from our program funds.

OLD BUSINESS

  • $200 (LSA) Harold Ruff work project from Divine Savior (received receipts 11/9)
  • $200 (LSA)Rosemary Leerssen Advent Soup Suppers 11/30-12/14
  • $200 (LSA)Marilee Janet Nolte Advent Soup Suppers 11/30=12/14
  • $1046 (hands-on) Holiday Creek Walk 12/17- Longmont Police Community Activity
  • Thrivent Builds- St. Vrain Habitat for Humanity Grant applicaton submitted. Waiting for 12/20/05 approval.

  • $200 (LSA)- Urban Servant Corp Open House
  • $400 (LSA) - Between the Lines Book Club

Elections

  • The following were elected as board members for 2006. 28 ballots were cast.

    • Financial Director - Harriet Couillard
    • Congregational Service Team Dir - Arlene Skaggs
    • Events Coordinator - Connie Allen
    • Thrivent Builds Specialists - Jim Heins
       
  • This Board has been submitted to Thrivent.

Upcoming events:

  • Audit needs to be completed by 2/28/2006
  • January 22, 2006, 5:30 pm, Wildflower Cafe, Board Dinner
  • February 3-4, 2006, Chapter Leader Summit, Approved to send 10% of our operating funds for 2006 ($780) to help with function expenses. Registration for 8 Board members will be submitted by Linda Thompson before December 15, 2005.

Next meeting, Thursday, January 12, 6:30 pm., Eternal Savior Lutheran Church.
