Meeting called to order by President Mark Moore. Mark opened the
meeting with a prayer.
Roll Call:
President - Mark Moore
Vice President - Becky Nichols
Financial Director - Harriet Couillard
Congregational Coordinator Director - Arlene Skaggs
Events Director - Connie Allen
Absent: Financial Secretary - Nancy Timm
Guests: Linda Thompson, Ed Allen, Dave Couillard
Mark appointed Arlene to record the minutes of the meeting.
December Meeting minutes – tabled to be read and approved at the
February meeting.
Financial Report – tabled to be read and approved at the February
meeting.
Admit New Chapter Members - tabled to be approved at the February
meeting.
Old Business:
The Board Dinner on January 22, 2006, will be held at the Wild
Flower Café, 5:30 pm at Flatirons Mall.
The Thrivent Chapters Board of Directors Summit Meeting will be held
February 3-4 at the Sheraton Denver West in Lakewood, CO. Arlene
Skaggs will contact Roberta Wentworth for the starting time on
Friday.
Arlene Skaggs reported First Lutheran Church needs to replace a
Congregational Coordinator. At this time, Faith Community Lutheran
Church and Christ the Servant Church each need one coordinator.
Arlene will be trying to fill these positions. All 2005
Congregational Care monies were used. The 2006 Congregational Care
monies have been allocated. Christ our Savior has applied for all
$1,300 of their funds for a Chuck Wagon Dinner Fund Raiser on
January 15, 2006.
New Business:
Linda Thompson agreed to serve as the Assistant Financial Director.
The Board appointed her to fill this position for 2006.
A motion was moved and approved to have past President Ed Allen
serve as a Board Advisor for 2006.
Requests:
Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church – Sailing With Our Stars Auction,
February 6, 2006. Approved $1,600 in Care in Community Funds at a 1
to 1 match.
NOFRY – Hands on Project - tabled for further discussion at the
February meeting.
First Lutheran Church – St. Vrain Family Center $100.00
Meeting adjourned at 7:40 pm and Becky Nichols closed with a
prayer. Next meeting scheduled for February 15, 2006. |
