Mark Moore opened the meeting with a prayer.
Roll Call:
Mark Moore, President
Becky Nichols, Vice President
Harriet and Dave Couillard, Treasurer and her husband
Arlene Skaggs, Congregational Coordinator
Nancy Timm, Records Director
Acceptance of new Thrivent members was tabled until next meeting.
A motion to accept the August 10, 2006 minutes was made by Becky Nichols, seconded by Arlene Skaggs and passed.
A motion to accept the amended financial report presented by Harriet was made by Becky Nichols, seconded by Arlene Skaggs and passed.
Volunteer hours for the following period included: Mark Moore – 2.5 hours, Becky Nichols – 6 hours, Harriet Couillard – 20 hours, Nancy Timm – 14 hours, Ed Allen – 40 hours for the chapter pig roast coordination, Connie Allen – 25 hours for the pig roast and Jim Heins – 50 for the Thrivent Build project over the summer.
New Business:
Four fund raising requests were considered:
A motion by Becky Nichols to support the mission work of Marcin and Rebecca Arendt in Poland for $2,500 matching funds raised on a $1 for $1 basis, seconded by Nancy Timm and passed.
An equipment request by the Thrivent Front Range Group was tabled and requestor will be asked to re-submit the request for consideration in 2007.
A motion for the Ongoing Ambassadors for Christ Entertainment Book Fund Raiser in the amount of $200 at $1 for $1 matching was made by Becky Nichols, seconded by Harriet Couillard and passed.
A motion to support the Broomfield Crop Walk for $800 for $1 for $2 raised matching was made by Arlene Skaggs, seconded by Harriet Couillard and passed.
Old Business:
Upcoming elections and open positions were reviewed including a Congregational Coordinator and a Financial Director.
The next meeting of the Twin Peaks Chapter Leadership Board will be Thursday, October 12that 6:30 pm.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm
