Thrivent Leadership Board Monthly Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order by Becky Nichols.

Roll Call:

Harriet and Dave Couillard, Financial Director and her husband

Becky Nichols, Vice President

Nancy Timm, Records Director

Arlene Skaggs, Congregational Coordinator

Acceptance of the new Thrivent members from July 13, 2006 was tabled until next meeting.

The minutes for the July 13^th meeting were presented for review and approval. A motion was by Harriet Couillard to accept the minutes as corrected and seconded by Arlene Skaggs.

Volunteer hours for the month of July include:  Becky Nichols – 3, Harriet Couillard – 20, Nancy Timm – 15, Arlene Skaggs – 250 hours for the congregational coordinator training event, Ed and Connie Allen – (pig roast hours needed) and Jim Heins – (Thrivent Builds hours needed for June and July).

The Pig Roast Picnic was a big success. Associated costs were about $2,000 and about 100 Thrivent members in attendance.

Financial situation of the chapter is about $3,000 in program funds and $3,000 in operating funds. Harriet and Nancy have been following and closing all pending funding requests as time permits.

No funding requests were presented at this meeting.

New Business:

Harriet Couillard made a motion to send $100 to the memorial of Bert Gregg (Linda’s father). Nancy Timm seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Leadership Board elections will take place in November, timing and location to be determined. Please let Becky know your status on the Board for next year.

Elections will be highlighted in the 3^rd quarter newsletter as well as additional mailing to members and congregations once the details are finalized.

The next meeting is scheduled for September 14^th. With no other business the meeting was adjourned at 7:25 pm.
