The meeting was called to order and an opening prayer offered by Mark Moore.
Roll Call:
Mark Moore, President
Harriet and Dave Couillard, Financial Director and her husband
Becky Nichols, Vice President
Nancy Timm, Records Director
Roberta Wentworth, title????
A motion was made by Becky Nichols to accept the new Thrivent members from June 9 to July 13, 2006, seconded by Harriet Couillard and passed unanimously.
The minutes for the June 8th meeting were presented for review and approval. A motion by Becky Nichols and a second by Harriet Couillard were made to accept the minutes as read.
Volunteer hours for the month of June include: Mark Moore -3, Becky Nichols – 2, Harriet Couillard – 25, Nancy Timm – 10, Jim Heins - , Arlene Skaggs - , Ed and Connie Allen - .
Roberta Wentworth led a discussion regarding the chapters included in the Chapter. She presented some suggestions for chapter re-organizations and various congregations. It was decided to leave the organization the same unless a congregation requests to move from the Twin Peaks chapter to another chapter.
The details for the upcoming Pig Roast Picnic were reviewed. Harriett suggested a greeter and name tags be used at the function. She will contact Connie Allen with her suggestion.
The chapter missed the June 30th deadline for completing its second Join Hands project. The deadline to turn in Join Hands Day receipts are July 31st. The organizer of the other Joins Hands project will be contacted to follow up on the upcoming deadlines
The Hands on service project for the Holiday Creek Walk sponsored by the Longmont Police Department was reviewed. A motion to grant the Holiday Creek Walk a $1,000 was made by Becky Nichols and seconded by Nancy Timm and passed unanimously.
The next meeting is scheduled for August 10th. With no other business the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm.
