Opening prayer by President, Ed Mohrman

Called to order by Ed Mohrman at 6:30 pm.

The minutes for the January meeting were reviewed and approved. Review of new members joining the chapter since January 10, 2008 was reviewed and approved.

Volunteer hours for the month of December include: Ed Mohrman - 6, Duane Sharp – ?, Bob Mohling – 15, Nancy Timm – 12, Tom Cree – 5 and Chris Busch - ?.

The financial reports were reviewed. Program funds remaining for 2008 are $13,280. Bob Mohling presented a budget for 2008 for chapter operating funds. 2008 chapter operating funds remaining the first half of 2008 are $3,811.63. The Audit has been completed and filed with Thrivent. A motion by Tom Cree, seconded by Nancy Timm to add back the three outstanding checks for 2007 into the operating account was passed unanimously. Bob M made an expense reimbursement form available to Board members for their out of pocket expenses.

Thrivent Builds Update
Robert Cotton has agreed to become the Thrivent Build Coordinator. He was given the Thrivent Build checkbook with a balance of $1,675.80. The Thrivent Builds House will break ground in May. Duane Sharpe will assist Robert with Thrivent Builds promotions.

Old Business
Three fund raising requests for the 22nd Annual Interfaith Quilt Show and Sale, the Messiah Youth Cabbage Burger Sale and the Risen Savior LWML and Lifelight Bible Study for the Roadrunners for Christ approved via online voted were ratified.

New Business
Funding request: The Colorado Lutheran High School Association Annual Dinner Silent Auction fund raiser was reviewed. A motion for 1 to 1 match up to $800 by Bob Mohling was made, seconded Chris Busch, passed unanimously.

A soup supper at Bethlehem Lutheran Church for Taylen Zabel’s medical expenses was reviewed. A motion for a 1 to 1 match up to $500 by Tom Cree was made, seconded by Chris Busch and passed unanimously.

The Bethlehem Youth submitted a funding request for the Nicaragua Project. A motion by Bob Mohling approved at 1 for 1 match up to $1,600 contingent, seconded by Chris Busch and passed unanimously.

A fund raising request for the Eldora Disabled Ski Program was reviewed. A motion by Bob Mohling for 1 to 1 match up to $800 contingent on receiving the completed funding request and applicable multi-chapter form, seconded by Chris Busch and passed.

A funding request for the 9 Health Fair Volunteer Booth was reviewed. A motion was made by Nancy Timm to support this project with $500 of operating funds, seconded by Chris Busch and approved.

A discussion about a chapter event at the Rockies was discussed. Tom Cree will e-mail the congregational coordinators to determine interest and a date for the event.

The next meeting is scheduled for March 27th. Nancy Timm and Bob Mohling will not be in attendance at the March meeting. With no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm.
