The annual meeting for election of your 2005 Chapter Leadership Board will be held as follows:

    When:    7:30 PM on Tuesday, November 9, 2004
    Where:  Joy Lutheran Church, 3211 Reidville Rd., Spartanburg, SC
    Why:      Elect persons to ten leadership board positions
    Who:      All adult Laurens-Spartanburg County Chapter members are encouraged to vote.

   Voting must be in person. Members cannot vote by proxy or mail. Exercise your right to vote in selecting your chapter's leaders. Nominees as presented by the chapter Nominating Committee are as listed on the attached following sample ballot.

(Households with more than four benefit members may receive a separate mailing with additional ballots.)

Watch your mailbox in October for the Winter edition of Thrivent magazine. Take a few minutes to review the voting materials and cast your vote. Voting for our board has never been easier!

* Benefit members are generally members age 16 or older who own an insurance or annuity product from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and have applied for and been accepted for membership in accordance with the membership eligibility rules of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Did you know that Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has a program called Care in Congregations® where funding is provided to Thrivent Financial members to conduct fund-raising and/or hands-on service activities to benefit your congregation or its related Lutheran institutions? In fact, Thrivent Financial members are encouraged to use the funds to help the congregation in its ministry to the community.

If you see a need in your congregation that could be helped through this funding, please contact a Thrivent Financial congregational coordinator in your congregation. If you don't know who your three congregational coordinators are, please contact a member of our chapter leadership board as noted in the previous newsletter, and he/she will help you get in touch with a coordinator.
