Members of the Pines Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans,

It is the time of year for selecting those Thrivent Financial Chapter members that will lead the Pines Chapter for 2005.  We will provide voting at each of the congregations in the chapter.  Please see below when voting will be held at each congregation.  This year, we will only be voting for Chapter Board members at this time.  Each member will vote for the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans National Board through a ballot provided in your winter copy of the "Thrivent" magazine.  Please look for it when you get the magazine and take some time to vote for the national board.

A ballot will be available at the Congregation level for the Pines Chapter Leadership Board.  Voting will take place at each congregation on the following dates:

Our Saviour Lutheran Church: Sat., 11/6 and Sun., 11/7 (both services)

St James Lutheran Church: Sunday, 11/7  

St. Paul Lutheran Church - Hamlet: Sunday, 11/14

St. Paul Lutheran Church - Pinehurst: Sunday 11/7

Please look for the voting table and take a few minutes to cast a vote for Pines Chapter Leadership Board members for 2005.

Note that there are several positions that have no applicants at this time (Communications Director, Assistant Financial Director, Youth Director and Events Director).  Please give some consideration to helping the Board fill these positions and volunteer your time and effort.  We generally meet every other month at one of the churches in the chapter.  If you can help, please contact me at 910-695-0509 or at henryf@pinehurst.net.

Remember that the work that Thrivent Financial does in your congregations and communities is only accomplished through your participation and service as a volunteer in the activities of the local chapters.  Your support is greatly appreciated and needed.  Please participate when an activity is planned.  Contact any Chapter Board member and volunteer your support.
