When you joined Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, you also became a member of our local chapter, one of more than 1,350 Thrivent chapters across the country. As part of our chapter you have the opportunity to volunteer in community causes, help individuals in need, join in Christian fellowship, and attend social and educational seminars.

FUND RAISING OR HANDS ON ACTIVITES COMPLETED IN 2010

ADVENT GAP MINISTRIES OF AUGUSTA - Purchase and distribute food to poor and homeless at food pantry and other assistance to the needy; ANGEL TREE - Gifts for needy children purchased and supplemented for angels not taken from tree; INTERFAITH GOLF MARATHON - Members sponsor a golfer, prepare and work at project to benefit families in providing lodging, meals, and assistance to homeless families.

ASCENSION UPTOWN VA HOSPITALITY CART - Ladies make fruit cups; doughnuts and drinks are bought; and snacks are distributed on a cart from floor to floor at the uptown VA Hospital. Funds help ladies stock this cart each Thursday.

OUR REDEEMER DOWNTOWN COOPERATIVE CHURCH MINISTRIES - Distribution of food for the needy; SAMARITAN'S PURSE/OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD - Over 100 shoeboxes filled with gifts for children to be sent world wide; CARE BOXES FOR THE NAVY PERSONNEL - Boxes prepared for deployed military to include christian book, game & candy; and QUILT/SHAWL - Quilt supplies purchased. sewed and sent to LWR and others.

UPCOMING EVENTS FOR 2011

SOCIAL ACTIVITY FOR FEB WAS 65 CHAPTER MEMBERS AND GUESTS ATTENDING THE RIVER HAWKS HOCKEY GAME. THIS EVENT SUPPORTED BY CHAPTER FUNDS.

Have you recently moved or changed your email address or church membership? If yes, you now have an easy and quick way to not only ensure the information Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has on file for you is accurate, but to also update it – immediately!
The Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Web site now has a secure page to review and update this information – with just a few clicks of the mouse.
Go to www.thrivent.com and click on MyThrivent. Enter your User ID and Password (first-time users will need to complete an easy one-time registration) to access the MyThrivent page, which provides a comprehensive financial summary of your Thrivent Financial products as well as your chapter information.
Click “Edit My Information ” and a screen will appear showing your name, address, phone number(s), email, church membership information and more. Click on the appropriate “Update” link to change any wrong or outdated information. If you do not have Internet access but need to update information, please contact your Thrivent Financial representative or Thrivent Financial and they will be happy to help you.
