MORE ON THE NATIONAL LUTHERAN CHOIR
Founded by Dr. Larry Fleming in 1986, the choir performs literature from the entire spectrum of sacred choral music, with and without instrumental accompaniment. The choir’s rich and diverse repertoire ranges from early chant to new compositions and from simple folk anthems to complex orchestral masterworks. Members of the National Lutheran Choir are drawn from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and beyond for weekly rehearsals and local and national performances. The ensemble presents a wide range of choral works in concert and worship settings, leads workshops in choral techniques, hymnody and liturgy, commissions and publishes new compositions, and broadcasts and records extensively.

FINDING INFORMATION ON OTHER CHAPTERS IN THE UNITED STATES
Begin by going to lutheransonline.com. ...when that page appears look to the upper left for Chapters/RFO. After clicking on it a page with the title Regional Financial Office/Chapter Web Site locator. When the RFO/Chapter Web Site page appears, scroll down to where it asks for a zip code. Let's assume you are looking for the Steele County Chapter of Thrivent Financial. Where it asks for a zip code, you would need to add the zip code for Blooming Prairie - 55917. Once that has been submitted you will come to a Chapter List...scroll down until you find the Steele County Chapter. Sometimes when you don't know in which city a specific chapter is located you might need to try the zip codes (one at a time) for the towns within that county.

MAKING USE OF 'GIVINGPLUS"
Are you aware that as a member of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, financial gifts you make to a Lutheran organization might be able to be supplemented by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans? Through Thrivent Financial's GivingPlus program, members can donate financial gifts to two different Lutheran organizations enrolled in the program each year, and Thrivent Financial will contribute $1 for every $2, up to $300 per year for each organization. For example, if you donate gifts of $600 or more to two eligible Lutheran organizations each, Thrivent Financial will contribute an additional $600 ($300 for each organization). In addition, Thrivent Financial will contribute an additional $25 for members who volunteer 25 hours or more at the organization receiving their gift.
All you need to do is complete a GivingPlus Member Gift form (available online or from the Lutheran organization) and submit it with your donation to the Lutheran organization. It's a very simple process.
For complete details and guidelines about this one-of-a-kind member benefit program and for copies of the Member Gift form, go to www.thrivent.com/fraternal/churchcommunity/givingplus.html. If you used the program in the past, please review the site for excellent enhancements made to the 2005 program, which allow even more members to make an even greater impact to the organizations they support through their gifts.
Think in terms of providing a year gift (supplemented by Thrivent Financial) to the Lutheran church college of your choosing.
