| THRIVENT BUILDS - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! |
This is a joint effort between Thrivent Financial and Habitat for Humanity which is designed to help provide a "hand up" to people who lack decent shelter in our local communities. Funding for a home comes from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans as well as some from the local Thrivent chapter and Habitat chapter. The Owatonna Chapter board is in the discussion stage of a possible build in 2008. Prior to any commitment, however, a volunteer "building co-ordinator" is needed to work with area churches and the Thrivent Builds Specialist. If this position interests you, please contact David Thomas, 451-9466.
