Here is your Chapter Leadership Board for 2005. Please feel free to contact us for more information on how to utilize your Thrivent Financial connection to help your church and community. We welcome all Thrivent members from our Chapter to join us for our monthly meetings (listed on reverse side), and also invite you to consider joining our Chapter Leadership Board. In particular, we are looking for a new Records Director. A few of the other positions that could be filled are Communications Director, Community Service Team Director, and Youth Director. There is also room for Chapter Board members without specific titles. Please contact one of your Board Members if you or someone you know feels the tug of the Holy Spirit to serve on this Chapter Board. Thank you! | Meet and Eat, Faithful Folk Concert |
On Saturday, April 2, 2005, a Meet & Eat will be held from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, (buffet lunch provided), at the Holiday Inn, 68 Crystal Run Rd, Middletown NY. This session is being offered free of charge by the Chapter Leaders to provide valuable information to the congregations of the Hudson Valley NY Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Anyone interested in learning more about our Chapter is welcome. Come meet the Chapter Leaders, hear plans for 2005, learn more about the Thrivent Financial Care programs, and, of course, enjoy food and fellowship. As part of the morning activities, Faithful Folk, a music ministry of Christ Lutheran Church in Woodstock, will offer a concert. Faithful Folk plays a variety of mostly original folk music, has recorded two full-length albums, and are currently at work on their third. For a taste of their music, please visit www.faithfulfolk.org. Chapter Leaders will also be accepting requests for Care Abounds in Communities projects during the Meet and Eat. Your Hudson Valley NY Thrivent Financial Leadership Board has set the following meeting dates for 2005. Most of these meetings will be held by teleconference, though a few are in person meetings as noted. We welcome you to join us for any of these meetings. If you would like to come, please contact one of your Leadership Board members as variables such as weather may alter the schedule. We'll also give you info on how to join the teleconference service provided by Thrivent Financial.
