Obituary Notes: "Thomas William Troyk, 19, of Tomah, died Wednesday, May
7, 2003, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. He was born July 8,
1983, in Milwaukee. Thomas attended Tomah Public Schools. He enjoyed the outdoors
and spent time hunting and fishing. He worked for the cranberry industry in
the Warrens and Tomah area.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Lisa and Duane "Shorty"
Lueck, Jr., of Tomah; his father, Howard W. Troyk, and a brother, Perry Lueck,
both of Tomah; his maternal grandmother, Rollene (Don) Schroeder of Rhinelander;
maternal grandfather, Arthur (Louise) Yenter of Camp Douglas; his paternal grandparents,
Howard J. and Judy Troyk of Westboro; his paternal step-grandparents, Duane and
Adella Lueck of Tomah; maternal great-grandmother, Ella Yenter of Cudahy; paternal
great-grandmother, Evelyn Troyk of Whitefish Bay; many aunts, uncles, other relatives
and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 10, at 11 a.m. at Bible Evangelical
Free Church, Tomah. Pastor Timothy J. Erickson officiated. Burial was in the
Mount Vernon Cemetery."
