Christ the Savior Lutheran School is a ministry of the Cristo el Salvador Lutheran Church in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala.

Cristo el Salvador is a member of the Lutheran Church of Guatemala, established in 1947 by missionaries of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. (The Lutheran Church of Guatemala now an independent body and no longer a mission venture.)

The school is Christ-based and teaches the Word of God as found in the Bible.

Cristo el Salvador subscribes to the beliefs, creeds, and teachings of the Lutheran Book of Concord.
