The Case of
the
Mysterious
Benefactor

A
comedy/mystery
church dinner
theatre
By Brian Bopp |
Setting:
A fashionable restaurant in the finer
section of Medical Lake, U.S.A. called "Café Flambé." It is
dinner time, and the tables are set, the candles are lit, the lights are low,
and romantic dinner music is in the background. All is ready for the
wealthy, prestigious residents of the city to arrive. They are greeted, as
are all the dinner guests, by Garcon, the long-time maître d'.
| Garcon: (gär-sôn') A smooth, confident man in his
early fifties. No one knows his real name anymore - it's just Garcon.
Played by: Andrew "Dewey" Smith, sphomore |
 |
 |
Ms. Patrice Pippenpopple: The wealthy heiress of
the Pippenpopple Popcorn fortune. She is stuffy, prideful,
arrogant, and considers herself altogether better than anyone in the
room. Played by: Sara Linafelter, junior |
| Mysterious Gentleman: Alias John Martin. In
his mid forties (near the age of Ms. Pippenpopple), he keeps everyone
guessing. He is very suave, sophisticated, and sneaky, always
peering over his glasses at someone.
Played by: Jason Greer, freshman |
 |
 |
Missy and Sissy Sweetwater: Two lovely young
sisters, shy and innocent, syrupy sweet as can be. They have
devoted their lives to the work of spreading good cheer everywhere.
Played by: Katherine & Caroline Collins,
junior and sophomore |
| His Honor Amos Allman: Long-time mayor of
Medical Lake. He is an amiable old man, with gray hair and a
mischievous gleam in his eye. Mr. Allman has also been the Sunday
school superintendent at St. John's Lutheran Church since the dawn of
civilization.
Played by: Brock Chavez, sophomore |
 |
 |
Mrs. Henrietta Allman: Mayor Allman's wife of
fifty-two years. She is very pleasant and typifies that type of
grandmother who have aged gracefully.
Played by: Julie Simmons, junior |
| Delivery Person 1: A young man in his early
twenties. His mannerism is like Jerry Lewis but not to the point
of being obnoxious.
Played by: Sean Chavez, 7th grade |
 |
 |
Delivery Person 2: A young man in his early
twenties. He is macho, all-business type, stern but not the point
of being harsh.
Played by: Justin Linafelter, sophomore |
| Rose Mitchke, sophomore, played the piano. |
 |
 |
Waiters: Chad Linafelter & Bret Greer |
| Waitress: Jackie Delgado |
 |
 |
Waitress: Jamie McDaniels |
| Waitresses: Megan Steptoe & Jessi McDaniel |
