We're glad you have decided to visit us today!The Carolinas District Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML)
is a dedicated group of women proclaiming the saving Grace of Jesus Christ.
As women in mission we support many mission projects
in our district and all over the world. We hope that this website will introduce you to the
many opportunities that you have to share the love of Jesus.
We hope that you will visit us often!
This is a great way to learn of upcoming events that will offer you
fellowship, fun, Bible study, and worship! God's blessings to each of you!

Your District Board of Directors have joined together in reading through God's word every 2 years.Below you'll find a link to the Two Year Reading plan we are following. It doesn't matter when you begin - start on a Monday with Week One and continue until you've read through the Bible over the next 2 years. |

2012-2014 Carolinas District Mission Grants |
During the District Convention, held in Hickory during September, the delegates voted to approve a new Mite goal of $66,000. This goal is slightly higher than last biennium’s but is still a reachable goal. The Mite Goal breaks down as follows:
25% to the national LWML Mite Goal - $16,500
46% to Carolinas Districts Grants - $30,360
29% to Carolinas District Operating Fund - $19,140 Please remember that the funds for the Trainable Mentally Handicapped Weeks at Camp Linn Haven ($7000 for both years) are included in the operating budget. After approving this Mite Goal, the delegates voted the projects into the following order for payment as Mites are received.
1 – New Mission Starts in the Carolinas - $5,000 ($2,500 each year)
2- Professional Church Worker Student Assistance - $5,000 ($2,500 each year)
3- Wellspring -Gospel Outreach Workshops in the Carolinas - $5,000
4 –Concordia Seminary, St. Louis Food Bank - $5,000
5- Christian Morality Stories for Liberia - $1,092
6- The 72 – Partners on the Road - $2,000
7- Bibles & Christ-Centered Resources for International Students - $5,000
8- Developing Religious Life Curriculum for God’s People - $3,900
9- Veterans of the Cross - $2,000
Total of all Grants as requested - $30,992 | |

Another Way to Donate to the LWML |

The LWML is up and running on GoodSearch! This is a search engine (you might be familiar with Google or others) you can use and thus generate some money for the LWML. It is estimated that each search generates approximately $0.01 for the designated organization. Thus if 1,000 women would search twice a day we could potentially receive $7,300/year. Make it your regular search engine and support the LWML! You will need to select the organization you support the first time you use it. According to the information we have, once you select that organization, it will continue to appear in the box so you do not need to select it every time. Just type in “LWML” and click on verify! *********GOODSEARCH HITS MILESTONE************* We've passed the $9,000 mark in raising money for missions on GoodSearch! Since signing up to receive a penny per search in January 2006, thousands of searches have been made that will benefit LWML mission grants. The more we use the search engine, the more we make for mites. Let's see how much we can raise the rest of the year! Visit www.goodsearch.com and type LWML under "I'm supporting" to participate. |
