Things to do to put a 350 / 454 in a 72 chevelle
hold engine up on engine hoist- 6" above motor mounts
attach STARTER wires (3 or 4 including battery wire)
drop in headers
flare out sides of motor mounts on engine, so they will drop in place nicely
drop engine down to motor mounts, screw them in
attach trans mount and cross member
connect driveshaft / u-joint
attach trans cooling hard lines to radiator
put in the radiator (attach wires for fans)
connect hoses to water pump
connect hoses to power steering
install/connect fuel pump and hoses
connect radiator hoses upper & lower to engine
attach throttle and kick-down cables
set distributor timing and attach spark plug wires
connect vacuum hose to trans
connect shift cable and bracket
