| Things to do to put a 350 / 454 in a 72 chevelle | |
| hold engine up on engine hoist- 6" above motor mounts |
| attach STARTER wires (3 or 4 including battery wire) |
| drop in headers |
| flare out sides of motor mounts on engine, so they will drop in place nicely
| | drop engine down to motor mounts, screw them in
| | attach trans mount and cross member |
| connect driveshaft / u-joint |
| attach trans cooling hard lines to radiator |
| put in the radiator (attach wires for fans) |
| connect hoses to water pump |
| connect hoses to power steering |
| install/connect fuel pump and hoses |
| connect radiator hoses upper & lower to engine |
| attach throttle and kick-down cables |
| set distributor timing and attach spark plug wires
| | connect vacuum hose to trans |
| connect shift cable and bracket
