[Immanuel Lutheran Church and School] [Weekly Newsletter]

Immanuel welcomes inquiries and requests to tour the school. Transfers from other schools are considered at any time. The normal enrollment time for the following school year starts in March. You may call the school office for an enrollment form or print a copy of the enrollment form form this page.

All K-8th grade students and their parents must meet with the principal prior to acceptance. The purpose of this meeting is for the parents and the principal to discuss the school’s program and to determine if Immanuel is the right school for the family.

Spaces in our Early Childhood Education programs for 4 year olds are limited. The teacher, Mrs. Graeff, maintains a list of those parents who are seriously interested in enrolling their children in this program. Please call to call to have your name put on this list. Enrollment forms will be sent to you in March.

The tuition at Immanuel Lutheran School is favorably competitive with other non public schools in the area. You may contact us for current tuition rates.

How to Register:

The student’s parents must complete an enrollment form, which may be downloaded from this site and returned to:
Immanuel Lutheran School
1915 Pine Street
Murphsyboro, Illinois 62966

PreSchool – Must be 4 years of age prior to September 1.

Kindergarten – Must be 5 years old prior to September 1.

All Grades - Immanuel is a standard Christian Day School and accepts pupils from other schools on the basis of regular transfer or by means of a report card which indicates the proper placement of the pupils. It is understood that all enrollment qualifications must be met.

All children entering preschool, Kindergarten or 5th grade must have a newly completed Physical Examination form and immunization record. All other students entering Immanuel for the first time should make these forms available to the school.

Parents and students who are not members of Immanuel Lutheran Church must meet with the principal when enrolling for the first time in grades K-8.

Pupils are accepted on the premise that they will apply themselves according to the ability which God has given them, will conform to all regulations of the school, treat all people and property with respect, and will accept the religious teachings as set forth in the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.

Immanuel is not a special education institution which accepts discipline cases, or students with emotional or physical disabilities. However, there are times when we feel our atmosphere of love can benefit a child who may have difficulty elsewhere. Children who have certain disabilities may be requested to be examined by competent persons before consideration for admission to Immanuel.
