History of Family Crossfires, Inc.

In the early 1980's Rick and Rhonda began ministering to teenagers caught in the grips of suicide and children suffering from abuse. They began working to prevent suicide, abuse and other painful problems by strengthening families in faith and love for God and one another. Their musical background and talent led to a "music and message" ministry. Their desire to reach families lead them into intergenerational ministry which reaches out to the whole Family of God - every age, married, single, with or without children. They founded Family Crossfires in 1990 and began producing printed resources designed to be used by others to help minsiter to the whole family of God. Family Crossfires is governed by a Board of Directors and incoporated as a Non-Profit Tax-Exempt Charitable Ministry in 1998. The Buhrke's have two adult daughters and a son-in-law who occasionally join them to present Family Crossfires programs and concerts. Rick and Rhonda each have over 10 years of experience in Intergenerational Ministry and over 30 years experience in Youth and Family ministry.
