Recommendations for Intergenerational Onsite Programs and Resources
INTERGENERATIONAL SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSONS: "It's hard to return to our regular lessons."
Deb Hoffman, Sunday School Teacher Zion Lutheran Church, Gresham, WI
INTERGENERATIONAL ONSITE PRESENTATIONS: The experiences that I have had with the Buhrke family and thei intergenerational program addressing family and the desire to "bind families together" have been most enjoyable. They bring a doawnto earth, a fresh approach to the subject and to the challenges facing family life in our society. They do it with joy and with the Word. in themidst of an enjoyable, often participatorymanne or presentat, the Spirit of God is given avenue to the hearts and minds of the audience, the participants. I pray God's continued blessings of their "over-and-above" efforts for the sake of the families of God.Rev. Ronald Meyer, President Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod South Wisconsin District
INTERGENERATIONAL MINISTRY WITH AN EMPHASIS ON ANGER MANAGEMENT: I truly want to thank you for being our speakers at the Zone 10 LWML Rally. It was a pleasure to have you with us for the full day. The group was very interested in your topic and thoroughly enjoyed your presentation. I could see they were very interested in receiving you hand-outs also. It is very beneficial to be exposed to this type of material. It helps us to know how to react when unhappy situations present themselves. It gives a better understanding of others, as well as ourselves. We have to hear it often.....Peace be with you. I pray you will be able to carry on your work with Family Crossfires, Inc. for a long, long, time.
Jean Schultz, Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, WI.

INTERGENERATIONAL VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: "I started reading it and I couldn't put it down.Debbie Hoffman, VBS Superintendent
Zion Lutheran Church, Gresham, WI
INTERGENERATIONAL WORSHIP SERVICE: Lively Intergenerational Worship reinforces Sunday School and keeps the attendion of all ages. "Mom! This is just what we learned about in Sunday School today!" Eric Hoffman, Sunday School Student Attending Intergenerational Worship Zion Lutheran Church, Gresham, WI
YOUTH AND FAMILY ABSTINENCE RETREAT: "Right Choices in a Wrong World" is excellent! The information is "straight forward" and valuable. It's easy to lead. Plus it's reproducible and reusable. WAe cando it every year! I do recommend planning a Friday night/Saturday Retreat because it's intense. We chose to do the covenanting suggested. It made our Retreat especially meaningful Jean Umland, Director of Education and Youth St.James Lutheran Church, Shawano, WI
REUNITING GENERATIONS CAMPAIGN: We have discussed ways in which we might prevent our children from feeling alone or devastated by an event like Littleton, CO. One of the directions we have been looking at is intergenerational ministry.(Intergenerational Ministry inspires generations to connect, love, support and help one another through faith and knowledge of God and His Word.) We are looking to Family Crossfires, Inc. to lead us in developing ways to heal, prevent and cope with problems, pain and tragedy caused by separation of generations.
